rrramble illustrator callout

Exciting news: We’re on the look out for illustrators!

As rrramble continues to expand, we’re looking for creative and reliable additions to our team of illustrators to design original graphics to accompany our written content.

About us

rrramble is a unique online platform for creatives of all kinds, designed to diversify the creative and critical voices we find in the Arts & Culture sector. We were founded in October 2020 by Abbie Reeve, Ellie Reeves & Georgia Rees-Lang, and have produced regular artsy content ever since! Now, in 2022, rrramble has 7 core team members (including its founders), 4 editors, 4 illustrators, and a whopping 25 rrramble writers.

About the role

Those in the illustrators pool will be expected to assist in the creation of illustrations for our regular content (rrreviews, rrrambles & rrreverbs), as well as occasional other ad hoc social media and website content, and will be given the opportunity to put themselves forward for work via our monthly email call outs. All members of the rrramble core team are currently unpaid, and run the platform alongside working full-time and/or regular jobs. The illustrator role is also currently unpaid, and is able to be undertaken alongside work or study.

For a little more information about how we like to include illustrations in our reviews, we typically look for illustrators to produce either two or three square images. One needs to be able to be used as a hero image for social media.

About you

Alongside a keen interest in illustration and/or graphic design, we are looking for people who are:

  • Organised

  • Reliable

  • Enthusiastic

  • Interested in the Arts (desirable)

We expect that the role will take approx. 1-2 days of an individual’s time per month, managed flexibly to suit the individual’s other commitments.

No previous professional experience is necessary - if you are someone who loves getting creative, and is perhaps looking for their next step in their budding illustration/graphic design career- this role is for you.

If you’re interested, please send an email to rrrambleblog@gmail.com with the subject line ‘rrramble illustrator role - application’, and tell us a little bit about yourself and why this role is for you, alongside a sample of your work (this can be sent as an attachment or a link to your online portfolio/website etc.) We would love to hear from you!
