Hi, I’m Amy! When not working the 9-3 teaching assistant life, I like to dabble in the 'arty' world - although I do wonder whether bingeing the sitcom 'Community' can really be considered 'cultural'. One day, I not so secretly hope to take over from Lauren Laverne as radio 6 breakfast presenter, although she would be sad to miss waking up to her dulcet tones every morning, as she's truly an audio legend. I’m super excited to be joining the rrramble team, and get writing about the things that make life enriching.

Ultimate Desert island disc track? September - Earth, Wind & Fire. It's a timeless disco track, and if I’m going to be stuck on an island, I want to at least be able to while away the hours having a good boogie.

What was the last book that made you cry, or laugh out loud? Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine by Gail Honeyman. It grapples with some big themes like isolation and loneliness in our contemporary society, which makes it a pertinent lockdown read, but it’s ultimately life affirming and joyful - the kind of message to help get us through these strange times.

Have you ever heard a song that feels like it HAD to be written about you? Tom Rosenthall’s’ Big Pot of Hummus’, simply because I’ve never heard a song be able to express so eloquently my most purest of loves for the greatest of dips.

If you could live inside one painting or sculpture, what would it be? The portrait of the Fat Lady, from Harry Potter.
