I’m a Literature student residing in both Edinburgh and Norwich. I love writing, reading novels from almost any genre, and the music of Amy Winehouse and Sufjan Stevens. Your ultimate desert island disc track?

'Song for the Asking', Simon and Garfunkel.

Have you ever heard a song that feels like it HAD to be written about you? What was it and why?

If I were to answer honestly, it would probably be a Phoebe Bridgers song ('Moon Song', perhaps), but, I am trying to be more hopeful, so I will choose 'Big Black Car' by Alan Isakov.

What was the last book that made you cry, or laugh out loud? (or both!) I recently read My Year of Rest and Relaxation, which was fantastic, and I was unsure whether to chuckle at the musings of the narrator, or cry in frustration and despair….

If you could have written one play/novel/poem/song, what would it be and why? The novel Giovanni’s Room is perfect; I love it so very much, and am constantly in awe of James Baldwin’s prose style (and mind).
